Worth the horror of opening a biscuit can.
1 pound ground beef
1 small yellow onion, finely chopped
1 tsp minced fresh garlic
1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce
1/4 cup sriracha sauce
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper, optional
At least one (~12 oz) can of biscuits**
Saute the onion in a little oil until it begins to soften, then add the ground beef and garlic. Cook until meat is browned, and drain as needed. Set aside to cool a bit.
In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, sriracha, brown sugar, and cayenne pepper. Pour this over the beef mixture, and stir until well-coated and combined.
On some foil or other work surface, flatten the canned biscuits into thin rounds (maybe 1/4″ thick, or until you reach a happy diameter that’s still strong enough to seal). My can had 10 small biscuits, so I squished together pairs to make 5 generous rounds.
Spoon some beef filling onto each round, and carefully pull up the edges to seal everything in. Pinch at the seams for a good hold.
Bake according to biscuit package instructions, and enjoy!
**I had plenty of extra beef filling, which was pretty tasty on its own. You could probably use an additional can of biscuits, or even try some crescent dough.
