I hate working with fresh herbs, but this was actually worth it!
1 cup fresh basil leaves, loosely packed
1/2 cup fresh cilantro leaves, loosely packed
1/2 cup unsalted pecan pieces. Mine were toasted and quite small (basically chopped)
1/2 cup olive oil
2-3 medium jalapeno peppers, cored and seeded
1 tsp minced garlic
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp chili powder. If yours is pre-salted, you may need less or no salt.
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper, optional
Combine everything in a food processor, and pulse until nice and pasty. That’s it!
